Our Team

Peter Stieglmayr is a licensed mental health counselor and credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor in New York State, along with additional certification in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), I possess the qualifications necessary to assist you in overcoming your mental health challenges. Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience working in non-profit agencies, community mental health programs, and private practice, supporting individuals dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, from mild to severe.

My personal journey of grappling with anxiety, addiction, and anger problems has fueled my passion for working with clients facing similar struggles. This personal experience motivated me to transition from a career in food safety and auditing to mental health counseling. By actively seeking therapy for my own well-being, I have discovered the path to healing and triumphing over these challenges. Consequently, I am equipped not only as a therapist but also from a personal perspective to truly understand and empathize with clients burdened by anxiety or any other mental health issue.

I extend to you an invitation to arrange a complimentary phone consultation, enabling us to delve further into your specific situation and explore effective strategies to overcome it. This conversation will also address the onboarding process comprehensively, encompassing factors such as cost, scheduling, and expectations. During this call, I am available to address all your inquiries, ensuring that you have all the information necessary to make an informed decision about whether working together is the right fit for you.
