How you will be helped

Struggling with enormous stressors in your daily life can be challenging and frustrating.

Stressors such as relationship conflicts, pressure to achieve at work and the constant fear of not being enough can make it difficult to cope with life as it occurs. It may even lead to feelings of self-criticism, which can appear as believing that you aren’t worthy of love, comfort, or success.

Perhaps these feelings have turned into mental health conditions such as anxiety, appear as an addiction that you may be hiding, or in issues with your emotions such as anger which has led to negative consequences.

Therapy together begins with spending several sessions getting to know each other and learning more about your background, support networks, and current struggles. In these essential conversations, it will offer you the safe space needed to process your thoughts and feelings. These conversations will build the foundation necessary to transition to the structured portion of your treatment.

You will learn ways of coping through either cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy or a combination of each one.

The skills within these evidence-based approaches will help you to address negative thoughts and feelings that may be holding you back from making progress in life. Together, we will identify and change them so that you are able to start feeling better.

Throughout this process, you will not be left alone but instead receive support and encouragement needed to turn your goals and objectives into reality. You will grow in your confidence and ability to handle life circumstances, as they show up, with determination and a renewed sense of self.
